There are many advantages to your receiving your painting unstretched and unframed.
A frame should be appropriate for the painting, but it may also be chosen to be appropriate for the room as well. A painting so framed will be much more attractive. Only you can make such a selection with a professional framer in your area. There are endless subtle shades of mounting mats and an endless variety of frames.
Shipping of paintings in frames is commonly done, but the shipping charges for the bulk of the frame is not only very high, but the resultant rigidity of the painting makes it vulnerable to damage in shipping.
It is for that reason that all of our paintings are shipped to you unmounted, ready to be stretched or matted by a professional in your area. If you have a perticular desire to have us do the complete framing, we will be happy to accommodate you. Please contact us to arrange it.
